Since we put so much of a premium on looks, is it surprising that cosmetics is a major industry? According to http://www.statista.com/topics/1008/cosmetics-industry/ the United States is the biggest cosmetic market in the world, with an estimated total revenue of about 54.89 billion U.S. dollars.
It's pretty shocking to see what stars look like without makeup. They look just like everybody else.
